Laura LeBrun Hatcher

Laura is an award-winning creative consultant, design professor, and entrepreneur who has been creating beautiful and effective solutions for her clients and partners in health care, education, the arts, and social justice as the owner of Hatcher Design Office for nearly two decades.

Laura is a disability rights activist and the director of communications for Little Lobbyists, a family-led organization advocating for children with complex medical needs and disabilities, like her son, Simon. In this capacity, Laura has spoken at press conferences and events, met with many other advocates and legislators, and testified in support of disability rights and health care legislation at both the state and national levels. Laura leverages her lived experience with her creative and communications expertise to inform and empower others.

Laura also teaches graphic design as an adjunct professor at Towson University, serves on board committees for Young Audiences of Maryland and MakeStudio Baltimore, and is chair of the alumni council at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Brian Hatcher

As a marketing professional, creative director and brand strategist, Brian has experience working with clients in multiple industries including education, retail apparel, financial services, and technology startups. After a long stint working in-house for a private university, Brian joined HDO to support its growing brand and creative consulting business.

Brian is a graphic designer with an MBA and uses skills from both business and design to offer a unique creative perspective, helping clients succeed both strategically and creatively. His favorite projects involve logo and brand identity design. Energized and inspired by the business strategy and creativity that goes into developing a well crafted brand identity, Brian revels in crafting robustly detailed—some might say “boring”—brand guidelines.

Like Laura, he is a proud parent and advocate for social justice. Brian volunteers his time to support growing grassroots organizations like Little Lobbyists on its board as treasurer.
