Cole·Haan · Spring Collection Catalogs
As art director on the Cole·Haan account, I was responsible for designing trade promotional materials directed at retailers. At that time, Cole·Haan used a traditional sales strategy and focused on marketing and selling to department store buyers at Macy’s, Dillard’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, as well as smaller high-end boutiques and shoe stores.
These 84-page catalogs were designed and produced twice annually to showcase and inform customers of the more than 180 new and seasonal styles of shoes and handbags. Creative concepts and style boards were presented and approved by the client in advance. As the art director and designer, I worked alongside the client, set stylist, and photographer to coordinate shots and design layouts, all during a two-week-long photo shoot.
